MADE IN AUSTRALIA WITH LOVE ❤️
Greetings from Orange, Regional NSW
To think I would be a Milliner right now is one that I never dreamt of when I was a little girl.
It was only when I was travelling back and forth from Sydney to Orange in 2011 to see my boyfriend (husband now) that I would be attending the Warren Picnic Races and making my own 'fascinator', and would start my creative juices flowing to learn how to make a headpiece and a hat by my very own hands.
Since then I have attended millinery conventions and TAFE to perfect the skill of sewing a hat from the beginning with trims attached. Patience is always required in this field but it has helped me to grow as a person and in my business.
I have had my pieces showcased on runway at the Australian Bridal Fashion Week in Sydney and 7 Horse Racing telecast with Kate Mallyon and Sky Racing Lizzie Jelfs. And have entered my headpieces in Millinery competitions such as the VRC Myer Millinery Award in 2018, 2020, 2021, EKKA Queensland and the Sydney Royal Agricultural Society Easter Show in 2021. It has really inspired me to keep going with the passion I truly love to do in my life.
Since moving to Orange in 2013, my family has grown to 3 and having a cornea transplant also inspires me knowing that I have a vision impairment but I still can achieve anything I focus on in my life without classifying myself with a disability.
